I am so glad we found the CTA opportunity for our son Tristan. Before CTA we felt helpless in our attempt to keep Tristan on track, both educationally, and actively. He was missing over 50 days of school a year, failing to submit completed assignments, struggling with basic math concepts, and refusing to participate in family activities.

From day 1 at CTA his attitude towards school and activity participation made a complete 180. I attribute this to the formula CTA has perfected over the last 40+ years. Instantly Tristan was getting “real socialization,” with teens, in a family like setting, instead of over the internet. The caring faculty continues to go the distance to find the instructional methods specifically tailored to meet Tristan’s learning process. With only 4-6 students in each classroom this personalized attention is possible. Most importantly every member of the CTA team, from facilities maintenance, and the culinary team, to Director Coey share the passion of inspiring well rounded young adults. We loved receiving the constructive feedback from all the CTA team members on Tristan’s daily growth.

Durango, Colorado is an amazing place to call home. CTA uses the regional opportunities to provide a one of a kind learning platform. From Wakan, to ski-block, to Spring trip, and all the personal skills in between, Tristan has been introduced to more educational and fun learning opportunities than most people twice his age. It has given us great pleasure watching Tristan’s self-esteem and appetite for adventure grow from each Bloc’s journeys. He is thriving academically, physically, and socially. We are so thankful for finding CTA, and all the work each member of the CTA faculty team has invested in Tristan to ensure his success as an adult. Tristan’s experience at CTA has returned him to the fun loving guy we remember from before the “trauma” of middle school. Everyday we’re thankful for getting our boy back.
