Dreher Robertson
My name is Dreher Robertson and I was born in Austin, TX. I went to high school at San Angelo Central High School in San Angelo, Texas. I obtained my bachelor's degree in Spanish at Texas Tech University in 2006. Crystal and I moved to Durango in 2007 and I went back to school at Fort Lewis College to obtain my teaching certifications in both English and Spanish. For ten years I worked as a teacher/advisor and as an administrator at Durango Big Picture High School after obtaining my Masters of Education Administration from Lamar University. Most recently I had the privilege of leading an amazing team at Vista Nueva High School in Aztec, NM where we focused on creating meaningful relationships and opportunities for relevant, real-world learning.
My career has been centered around alternative models of education where students individual needs, passions and interests as well as building a strong sense of community have been the driving forces. I have been in and around southwestern Colorado my entire life and I am very excited to combine my experience in alternative, student-centered models with my love for the outdoors. I am no stranger to CTA and I am proud to lead this school into the next chapter.
