Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Cook to join our team and provide nutritious and delicious meals for our students and staff. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a commitment to health and wellness, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. As a Cook at CTA, you will play a key role in supporting our mission by preparing high-quality meals that contribute to our community’s overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

- Prepare and cook a variety of meals, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner, for students and staff.

- Plan and develop menus that meet dietary needs and preferences, including special diets and allergies.

- Ensure all meals are prepared in accordance with health and safety regulations and dietary guidelines.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, including proper food storage and handling.

- Manage inventory and order supplies as needed, keeping track of budget constraints.

- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient operation and smooth service.

- Foster a positive and supportive atmosphere in the kitchen, contributing to a strong team dynamic.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Cook or in a similar role in a food service environment.

- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.

- Ability to plan and execute menus that cater to diverse dietary needs.

- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Culinary degree or relevant certification.

- Experience working in a school or institutional food service setting.

- Familiarity with outdoor and adventure-based diets.
